Feeling Disrespected

Facing Our Challenges Head-on!

November 20, 2015

Dear Julie: George, the father of my children walked out after twenty years, leaving us nearly homeless. He then married a woman he’d been cheating on me with for 8 years–only to turn around & divorce her 4 months later to get involved with Karen. He has not been faithful or loyal to Karen either but keeps trying to get her pregnant, telling her he wants to get married and have her babies (though he calls the children he’s already fathered–including mine–mistakes). Prayers needed, please, for me and also for Karen. –Feeling disrespected

Dear Disrespected : I hope you’ve been reading the comments of women who responded to previous posts about men much like your George. Men like that are not worthy of women like you. I mean, after all, you’re asking for prayer for Karen as well as yourself. That shows you have a big heart and that you trust a faithful God.

Let George go, and move on with your life. Perhaps God will lead you to someone who will love your children and treat them for what they are–precious human beings made in the image and likeness of God. Your children should not be subjected to anyone who regards them and you with such disrespect.

I am praying that you will find the strength and courage to get out of this situation and to trust God to lead you to green pastures beside still waters (Psalm 23). May God bless you with peace. Julie
