 Facing our challenges head-on!
Challenges Women Face

May 19, 2017

Dear Julie:

I’ve always believed in God. Yet, sometimes I don’t and scream at God. For years I suffered panic attacks, lowness, anxiety, depression. I’ve gotten counseling for being addicted to drugs, abuse, rape. Have been alone for a year now so am breaking patterns but have overwhelming troubles when alone.

Dear Needing Help:

My heart goes out to you. You have lived through so many tragic situations it’s not surprising you’ve had panic attacks and depression. Is the counseling helping you? Do you have a Christian counselor who can help you turn to God?

You say you have always believed in God, but what does that mean to you? How well do you know Him? Are you His child? Do you know that He loves his children dearly? That He promises to never leave them or forsake them? That He will always be there to go through any hardships you face, that He will make you strong when you feel weak? A child of His is never alone.

I’d encourage you to get to know Him better. Read your Bible cover to cover, paying special attention to the New Testament. Get to know Jesus, how He is God’s only Son who died on the cross to pay the price for our sins and to open Heaven’s gates for us. When you know Jesus, you experience a peace that is unexplainable, even in the midst of troubles. Do you go to a Bible-believing church? If not, I’d encourage you to join one and make friends with godly women there. God bless you. I wish you all the best in the world. Julie
