“Comfort ye, comfort ye my people,” (Isaiah 40:1)

November 28, 2017

Dear Julie:

I have a question and I’m scared. I’m dating this guy a long time and have been having sex with him, sometimes without condoms, but he always pulled out but now for the past week I keep throwing up at the smell of foods especially in morning and evening. Could I be pregnant? –Scared

Dear Scared:

Yes, dear, you could very well be pregnant. Go in and get a free pregnancy test at your local pregnancy center. You can find your closest one at Talk to them about your options. Take time to think about what this means to you and to your baby. Please don’t do anything rash. I personally know of hundreds of women who suffered for decades because they terminated their pregnancy and couldn’t undo their actions.

Now you may NOT be pregnant but if you continue on this course with your boyfriend, pregnancy is likely to happen. You need to get serious about changing your lifestyle. You can talk to the people at the pregnancy center about that, too. Life is full of challenges. This is a big one. I’m praying you get the help you need and that God will give you the courage to make whatever changes are necessary.

God bless, Julie
