Can’t Let Him Go

 Facing our challenges head-on!
Challenges Women Face

September 9, 2016

Dear Julie:

I was in a 6 yr relationship with a man that is 10 yrs younger then me. I’m 40 and he is 30. I caught him having sex with someone and still wanted to be with him but he said he wanted to get his own place. He said he’d been feeling that way for a long time so he got his own place. We’ve been separated for almost a year and I’m so broken. I love him so much. He stills want to keep in contact with me and calls almost everyday. Like a fool I still talk to him cuz I feel like a piece of him is better then nothing.

I can’t see my life without him but I know it’s not good. I still love him and want to be with him. He says he still loves me but I guess not enough to be with me. I know I need to let him go completely but I can’t. I pray one day we get back together but I don’t think it’s going to happen. I’m so scared of him falling in love with someone else. What do you think I should do? –Can’t Let Him Go

Dear Can’t Let Him Go:

What do I think you should do? I think you should listen to yourself. “I know I need to let him go completely.” It’s clear the relationship is over. Walk away with your head held high.

If you’re going to pray, ask God to send you a man who will love and respect you enough to marry you and live with you to a ripe old age.

Praying for your happiness,
