Seeking God’s Best

Facing Our Challenges Head-On!

February 2, 2016

Dear Julie:

I just wanted to tell you that I’ve only recently seen your writings but I appreciate them. The past 2 I’ve read we’re very helpful. If you are able and have time, I ask you to pray for me. My ex-husband left me 7 years ago with 4 children.

God has grown me and changed me so much. He has healed me of a lot and gives me grace and keeps me moving forward. I was recently in a serious relationship. We were headed for marriage. Two weeks before he broke things off. He is going through some financial hardship and says it’s not fair to bring me and my kids through it. I’m heartbroken but I surrendered.

I’ve always been afraid of God’s will in the area of whether or not I’ll be single for the rest of my life. I really love him and want us to get back together but I don’t want to be ridiculous and hold on if God said no. I’ve learned that God sees more and knows more so I have to trust Him. I want to love and pursue God more than anything. I just miss him so much right now. I also pray for him that no matter what the case, that God pursues him and that he trusts God to take care of all his problems. Thank you!–Seeking God’s Best

Dear Seeking God’s Best:

You do well to trust God because He only seeks the best for you. He saw you through hard times when your ex-husband left you alone with four children to raise. And he will continue to see you through life, through good and bad times, through singleness and married times. If this fellow truly loves you, he’ll get his finances in order and will come back for you. If he doesn’t truly love you, then you don’t want him coming back and messing up your life as well as your children’s lives. In all of this, God will be there for you. You can trust him. He has your back.

I’ll be praying that you stay close to God and experience the peace that passes understanding. God bless you, dear sister in Christ. Julie
