Wanting a Loving Man

 Facing our challenges head-on!
Challenges Women Face

February 7, 2017

Dear Julie:

I feel as if the enemy is pulling me from God. I just want a strong relationship with him. Raise my son the best I can, be the best mom I know. I’m doing it all alone and I get tired sometimes and overwhelmed. I just want a loving man of God to come in and help me. I don’t want to doubt or second guess my self.—Wanting a loving man

Dear Wanting:

If you are God’s child, He is there for you. He will never leave you or forsake you. He is stronger than the enemy and can send demons reeling back into hell where they belong. What’s more, God will give you wisdom to raise your son and He will give you strength when you are overwhelmed. He is enough, as many of our readers have shared in the past.

Yet, while it is nice to have a loving man of God come in and help, why not ask for a loving man of God to do more than come in and help? Why not ask Him for a man you will be proud to call your husband . . . a man you will respect and love.

If you are God’s child, you can ask and He will answer you. You can ask Him for a loving man of God and He will send one. But you have to be willing to wait. While you’re waiting, study the Bible, and learn how God expects His children to act, living out their daily lives to glorify Him.

If you are not God’s child, read the Bible and learn that: 1) All have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) 2) The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:30) 3) If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9)

Trust the LORD to make all this clear to you. And ask Him to help you raise your son and be the best mom in the world. He will do it for you, that and more.

God bless you,
