Wrongfully Fired

 Facing our challenges head-on!
Challenges Women Face

August 19, 2016

Dear Julie:

I’m writing you to release some stress off my chest. I lost my job early this summer. I was wrongfully fired. Over the months I struggle with different things to the point where I wanted to give up. I have three kids and parenting is another issue I’m dealing with. I’m a single mom but I do my best in raising them. I just ask for you to pray for me & my kids that I make it over this hump & be successful with maintaining my house & kids. Thanks

Dear Wrongfully Fired:

I’m so sorry this happened to you. I’d be feeling stressed, too, if I were you. The important thing is that you don’t give up, even though you’re tempted to do just that.

Know this: Whatever anyone else says or thinks, God knows you were wrongfully fired. He know the unfairness that goes on in this sinful world. But He is keeping a record of the things each of us does. Each person’s “work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man’s work. If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward” (I Corinthians 3:13-14).

There WILL BE a day of reckoning and, honestly, I don’t believe that day of reckoning is far off. For now, you can draw on God’s strength. He says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).

God has a plan for you and your family. So be strong and wait on Him to reveal to you what it is. I’m asking our family of readers to join me in praying for you.

God bless you, Julie
